Foley is the hub of south Baldwin County and it is growing fast, which shows up in the yards.
The ground here is flat and low, and in places the water table sits close enough to the surface to change how drainage has to be done. You cannot always solve a wet yard by digging deeper, because deeper is where the water already is. What works instead is moving water sideways, to a ditch, a swale or wherever the property can legally discharge, and getting the surface grade right so less of it collects in the first place. New subdivisions add the usual scraped-and-compacted fill on top of that. Between the two, drainage is the question that decides what else is possible on most Foley lots.

Our yard stays wet for days. Is a French drain enough?
Sometimes, and sometimes not. A drain only works if there is somewhere lower for the water to go. On low-lying ground the answer is often surface grading and a swale to carry water off, rather than a pipe that fills up and stays full. We check where the water can actually discharge before quoting either.
Do you work in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach?
Gulf Shores yes, and it has its own page here because the sand and salt make it a different job. Orange Beach is close enough to be worth a call.
How long before we can use a new lawn?
Sod knits down over a few weeks and needs watering hard in that window. We will tell you what it needs and when it stops being fragile, because the first month decides whether it takes.
